“Capture the natural world with your camera: document a moment outside, big or small. From a panorama snapped during your morning forest hike to a close-up of a leaf on the sidewalk, we invite you to document this wondrous world around us.”
That Photo101 prompt was a bit much, but hey, it’s an excuse to post a flower photo. This one caught my eye with the fading of the yellow into the white. I usually screw up depth of field, especially on the cam phone, but I think this one’s not too bad.
It’s a beautiful photo, I love the colours of the flower. Your phone has a great focus, did you enable macro?
I have to be honest – I haven’t really fooled around with the settings on the phone cam so I didn’t even know that there was a macro mode. I just use the default cam app on the default settings. π (It’s a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 so I’m assuming it’s very similar to your Galaxy S5.)
Thanks for the kind comment! I’m kinda proud of this photo. π
I have the S4 so there’s a big chance your camera is actually better than mine. There should be some sort of macro option, I think! I might be wrong.. You should be proud, it’s great!
Thanks! The improvement in the physical camera in Samsung’s phones isn’t that huge. It’s usually the software updates that make a difference. Will fool around with it one of these days. π
