I laugh, therefore I survive. I can’t deny that there’s some conceit in believing that laughter solves everything. I like to think of it in the reverse though – if a person ceases to laugh, is he actually living?
This weblog was created as an aid to my survival and hopefully eventual recovery. What’s posted here isn’t necessarily for public consumption, though I’ve left the blog unprotected. I’ve made many attempts over the years to reconnect with my inner creative. I lost touch with him a long time ago. I know he’s in there somewhere because he smiles and laughs at things that my waking self would usually judge as stupid or worthless or a waste of time.
Evidence to the fact – I built this blog on WordPress on January 3, 2008 intending to use it in exactly the same way. I didn’t get far. Its name and the concept behind it remain true today , though, so I re-purpose it for 2014.
This will be the main outlet for my writing based off of WordPress’s The Daily Post, which I hope will lend structure and momentum to my writing.
I don’t expect anyone to ever read this. If you happen upon this – I do not know you, but I welcome you.
