People like me.

Found these words by Caitlyn Siehl on Gaiana‘s blog My Fair Vagabond. The only thing I want to say about the piece is that the force of the concept is absolutely true. The question is, knowing this do you take the risk of letting people into your life?

Do not fall in love with people like me.
I will take you to museums, and parks, and monuments,
and kiss you in every beautiful place,
so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth.
I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible.
And when I leave you will finally understand, why storms are named after people.

  1. Just! I don’t like this thing about letting people see me, they see the side of me that I allow them to and I’m happy that way, with a wall keeping ‘danger’ aside. One day I’ll be able to knock it down…. one day.

    1. You’re not knocking your walls down. Someone else will come into your life and do that for you. The fun/scary question is, that’s going to be someone that’s one hell of a storm, being strong enough to tear your walls down. What kind of impact will he/she have on your life? 🙂
