Even Faux Terra Cotta Equines Worship the Sun

“Today, head outside and capture an image of warmth, using the sun as your source.”

I found this faux terra cotta fellow hanging out in the bushes, as if hiding from the full glare of the sun. I mismanaged depth of field on this one, though the sunlight glancing off his plastic hide makes for a bit of interesting luminosity. I shot this both landscape and portrait, and thought that this orientation gave the fake faithful steed more character.

  1. Why did you choose that thingy for your photo?
Now this is going to be fun. There’s no sun here, it’s dark and gloomy again.

    What time is it there?

      1. Fair enough! To be truly honest, last year wasn’t cold at all we hardly had a winter and this year is taking its slow pace. Global warming is impacting us quite heavily. This year was the hottest summer as well!
